Rear trunk strut bar
Does anyone make a cheapish rear strut bar that doesn't go through the middle of the trunk so that your trunk can still be some what useful?
Black is preferred . Cheapish I mean under 150. |

tc sportline
i use it currently and it takes a minimal amount of space and i got mine for just about $100, i cant remember exactly how much though |
you could try welding some metal pipes together and make it fit.:eyetwitch

IIRC, autoEXE has one that goes along the bottom (2 pt, not their 4pt)

Not sure if that's the best price...I would ask Japanparts or something. Looks a lot like the beatrush: http://www.fluidmotorsports.com/p-99...s-bracing.aspx |

You are talking about the Floor on on Boomplus correct?
Why do they have to be crazy colors.... :( |
At japanparts.com what do they mean by "Only for Before M/C."?

How about the bar that goes across to hold up the spare tire? Would that work?
Since I took my spare tire out, I've been meaning to remove that bar as well, but I genuinely don't know if it adds rigidity or not. I fail. |
Esentially the spare tire bar does work. I personally opted for Beatrush front/rear strut bars.

Beat Rush is not flush.
There is a manufacture who has one that is flush on th efloor. Besides you don't need a rear struct bar unless you are tracking. Many of us don't even use it at the track as its not needed. |
idk if the spare bar adds rigidity or not ...
|
The Corksport bar sits flush on the floor. You can even mount it with the spare tire setup.
|
Beat rush makes both bars... They have one that sits high and one that sits low on the floor. I believe one is called a trunk bar and the other one is call a rear strut bar
|
tc sportline's price is unbeatable.
im getting the greddy one though. |

One left at that price, get it before it is gone! |
Anything that's flush with the floor isn't likely to add much real rigidity, and really won't do much to improve cornering.
There's already something fixing the distance between the struts at the trunk floor (the trunk floor does that), if you want to add any real rigidity to the suspension you need to make a connection between the tops of the struts (the spare tire mount bar does accomplish that somewhat), which pretty much means having a bar that goes through part of the trunk interior and kills some space. The "flush" bars will incrase your rear traction by the amount which they increase the weight over the back wheels (you can get the same effect by throwing a phone book in the trunk, or by taping it down to the floor if you want to get fancy...). |
Check out the corksport rear bar its under $100
