My car recently got rear-ended and the only casuality is the black plastic molding on the bottom of the back bumper. Only has a couple of little imprints from the front plate of the other car... but it was perfect before I'll probably press for a new bumper.

I assumed the plastic molding would be detachable like the shrouds around the exhaust pipes but mazda says this is not the case, can anyone confirm this?

I thought the MS kit uses the original back bumper.

 

that part is not removable it is part of the whole bumper. As for the ms rear yes it uses the oem bumper after you cut part of it. I believe it has been discontinued through mazda so it will have to be a replica with some work or used

 

Apparently the MS kit comes in primer now.

 

I've always wanted the MS kit.... Having the back without any of the other bits would look silly though.
