If you have a rear spoiler or wing, I'm afraid it would take the air off it. It may work as a standalone.

I don't know how much it cost but i just don't think its that cool. It's a very small add-on carbon lip to the rear window that is barely noticeable unless up close. I do like the rest of the car pictured though!

 

It doesnt really go with the painted Mazdaspeed unit on the deck, either. Between the two, I prefer the deck spoiler.

BTW, is this RE or Evo-R?

^i was under the assumption that this one (RE Amemiya) and the one he sells on his site are two different ones.

 

If that's a real Re Amemiya then he blew close to 500$ on that thing. Waste of money IMO.

I believe the one they sell on there website was inspired by the RE Amemiya spoiler but not actually RE's roof spoiler. I would like to purchase a roof spoiler but if the EVO-R's spoiler is the same as RE's, i'll just purchase EVO-R's. But having outfitted their car with the RE spoiler makes me wonder about their spoiler. Just saying..

Didn't Jay purchase the RE-Amemiya roof spoiler to replicate it. If I was in his shoes, I would keep the Authentic to rock as well.

 

If he is selling a replica roof spoiler then the pics should be of the replica but who knows.

I Don't see where he was trying to market it. It could very well be the real thing.

I know that they did have the replica spoiler up on their winning blue rx8 in the past to showcase their product. I'm wondering why the switch to the authentic after that time. I really do want to know the difference between the two except for price of course.

 

What makes you think he switched to authentic?
