hi, im new to this forum, and i was just wondering:

how much weight can u save with a carbon fiber hood and trunk on a RX-8?

how much do the front seats of an RX-8 weigh?

how much do the 18 inch wheels weigh?

is there any way to change/or parts available to change the final drive ratio in the differential?

sorry about these really random questions, but i was wondering if u can make the RX-8 lighter and have a tigher ratios for the tranny gears. Im just curious about the RX-8 and its potential to be lighter and handle better.

Im also a mazda fan, i own a '94 miata

that was a really cool thread

so i seem to get the point that rx-8's are almost made as light as they could be from the factory because mazda used a lot of lightweight materials such as aluminum.

and just for reference for other newbie's like me,
stock wheels 18" wheels: 18X8 +50 offset. 5X114.3 bolt pattern = 21.5 lbs.
