Racingbeat Rear Wing

Racingbeat is about to release it's new wing. I am not a big fan of the metal connecting brackets on other wings I have seen. This wing seems to be much subtler. It is priced at $299, and requires painting. I am looking forward to more pics to be available on their site. Here's a link to the wing.

Interested to see what others think.

I think its the best looking spoiler/wing to date. It is also supposed to actualy apply some downforce, what a concept! I love the way it continues the line up the length of the car. Any idea of what it would cost to have it painted? This will be my birthday present to my self in May!

I like it, though very subtle if not almost too subtle, and the price is agreeable. I am glad to see they are finally releasing their kit.

I saw this wing and it's a slight modified version of the Ings+1 wing. I would still take the Ings+1 wing though. If you haven't seen the wing in person, then you MUST see it just to know what I'm talking about. It seems incomplete... rather lopsided to the trunk.

Even a better comparison, it looks like a G35 wing on our car. :P I have a G35 with a wing and it looked just like that.

I'd like to get a lip spoiler like this too. It looks good. But someone told me that getting it painted the right color would be a big expense? Anybody have one like this or similar (Ings, Mintblue, etc) that was painted? Any guesstimate on how much $?

I like the entire RB body kit. It is smooooth to me and seems classier than most others I have seen which seem to be aimed at more "I'm a race car" audience. The latter kits look great just not what I have been looking for.

Like Paul_in_DC, I am also wondering about painting costs and also, what the general feeling is on Fiberglass versus what we all call "urethane"

Urethane vs. Fiberglass for a wing really doesn't matter much... maybe the weight factor that's all. But in the end, it wont break as easily as say a Front Bumper since no one will be hitting the wing with anything.

What's everyone got against the OEM wing, besides price?

Personally, I think the OEM wing creates a vertical line at the rear of the car and makes it look "stubby". Like Clusterone said, the RB spoiler continues the natural line of the car. It brings the horizontal line of the car across at the tail more forcefully and gives the body a wedge profile instead of a little taper. Looks longer & more in motion.

Besides looks, I'm not sure the OEM wing does anything significant for aerodynamics, where the RB spoiler does (though I'm not certain of this.)

I have no real problem with the OEM wing, accept it looks a little too common... I have seen it on many other makes and models.

I agree with this completely. The spoiler on the 87-93 Mustang GT and LX (yes I know it's a Ford) probably wasn't fiberglass, but it was a pretty hard plastic that would react the same or worse than fiberglass in terms of cracking if hit. However, like the man says above... your spoiler isn't going to have the same problems as your front and rear bumpers. one reason why I wouldn't get the AutoExe kit or FEED kit even if I think they are pretty hot.

Racing Beat... listen to your customers... please don't make the rest of this kit out of fiberglass. Even if it costs a little more... urethane or die. Saleen and Rousch (I believe) both use urethane for their kits... you should too.

I like the kit, especially the tail because I really don't like those boy racer HUGE wings in the back.

The complete kit comes to $1450-500 or so but I wonder with paint how much it all comes down to. Also...I wonder how much weight the kit adds to the car.

But, overall...GREAT JOB RB!

This kit has grown on me a lot. But I still say RB needs to revise their product development and look at Urethane. This isn't a 7... this is something they talk about all the time... the personality of the car and maturity level of the owners. So if that's the case, why they hell do they think that these people of discriminating taste want fiberglass bodyparts for their $30k car?! I said it before and I will do so until RB get the hint... MAJOR factory supported aftermarket parts/package companies all use urethane... Saleen, Rousch, Steeda, Stillen and the list goes on... why aren't you?
