R-Magic, RE-Amemyia or MS front Bumper?

I'm trying to decide between these 3 bumpers.

RE-Amemyia
http://vividracing.com/catalog/produ...oducts_id/2679

R-Magic
http://vividracing.com/catalog/produ...oducts_id/2668

MazdaSpeed.

I really want the RE-Amemyia or the R-magic front bumper, but I don't want to have to deal with fitment issues. I'd like the MS front bumper more than the stock bumper. It seems like all of the bumpers will cost the same and which ever I get I plan to buy pre-painted. The few questions I have are regarding the fitment issues with each bumper. If the R-magic or RE-Amemyia really will fit fine and I can get them pre-painted I'll just buy one of those. Also does anyone know where I can get the clearance of each of these bumpers?

Out of those three, I would go with the MS. The R-Magic front looks too similar to the stock bumper, not to mention that it costs the same, unfitted and unpainted as the MS. You are going to spend alot more on either of those kits and alot more headache. Now, if you were choosing between the Auto EXE, the Autobahn or the MS, it would be a harder decision for me.

i would go with the RE without the foglights or the Rmagic. Just to be a little different and they look nice. To choose just one, Rmagic, but i have no idea how is fitment.

R-Magic front painted will probably go for around the same as MS painted if you are willing to wait 3 months. from looking at mazdaparts anyway.

have no idea how the fitment on r-magic or re-amemiya are, but if you have the money, a reputable bodyshop should make whatever you have, work.

I'm fine with waiting 3 months. And from what it looks like all 3 bumpers would cost just about the same painted (give or take $100). I just don't want to spend an additional $200-$400 getting it fitted if it doesn't fit right. Also I'm guessing the Re-Amemiya has a higher ground clearance than the r-magic, but the r-magic styling seems more aggresive.

Well I guess I should find a good local body shop and get some rates. Ideally I'd like to just put it on myself if the fitment is perfect. If I did get the painted MS front bumper I should be able to put it on myself.

MS front--$1343.75 + $75 shipping (Rosenthal Mazda)= 1418.75

R-Magic front--$1274.99 + $120 shipping + approximately $500 to fit and paint (if there is nothing but minor prep work to be done)= $1894.99

RE-Amemyia front--$1099.99 + $120 shipping + approximately $500 to fit and paint= $1719.99

The fit and paint prices may be off, but I think that should be close. Pretty significant price differences, plus longer wait, plus unknown fitment. I would just consider everything before you buy, because I am sure if you buy the RE or the R-Magic, there are no refunds.

That is very close and a great demonstration of the pricing for non MS bumpers.

where'd you get those prices from?

R-Magic front- $1,103.00 + ($150) shipping + ($350) fit and paint= $1603

Re-Amemiya front- $858.00 + ($150) shipping + ($350) fit and paint= $1358

My estimates are from Bulletproof on item and shipping. Fitting and paint for an entire kit goes from 600 and up.

I'm actually now heavily leaning towards the MS kit, mostly due to fitment issues. I just want something that isn't stock and I don't want to deal with body shops and fitment. I live like 40 minutes away from Rosenthal Mazda so I might just get an MS kit from them.

Thanks a lot to jaguargod and NgoRx8 for the prices on getting a body kit fitted.

I would get the re amemiya alot of people have the MS. It would be something a little different. I would get it with the fogs.

Yeah, Elite RX8 just replied to my PM and said his fitment was fine. I'm not in a hurry so I'll think about it and try to get estimates from local body shops.

Where do I begin to look to get info on a body shop? Should I ask the dealer? I don't know of any good body shops in my area.

I'm in Maryland right out side of DC. I do actually like the buddy club kit too. I think I've ruled out the R-magic kit because the styling isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I'd be settling for the MS kit, but the super easy fitment is very appealing. I think if I found a body shop I trusted I would be alright with getting the RE-Amemiya or now the Buddy club kit. Any more thoughts?

Any good auto body collision / repair shop should be able to install the bumper. You could always bolt it up yourself (the stock one comes off very easy) and see if there is a fitment issue with the bumper. If so then take it somewhere.
