IN Question about plastic bumper grill

I have a new metal grill that I had powder coated and wanting to replace with the OEM plastic grill. The problem I'm running into is that the OEM grill holds the crappy plastic V trim on the bottom of the front bumper with all of the mounts. The grill that I am trying to replace has no mounts at all just two bolts and two little square things. So, I am not sure at all how to mount my new one, considering it has nothing at all to hold it in. Nor does it have any mounts to hold the V plastic trim. The only way I see that this would be possible is to carve out the current plastic that is in the current mount and somehow fit my new one in and use the old ones mounts? If anyone has done this I and has any ideas that would be awesome. If what I'm saying does not make sense, I could post picture of my problem later on tonight.
