problem installing side flares if rocker panels are dented in?

Basically I just got the side flares from a friend for $50..and when I went to look behind both mudflaps, I see the jackass before me decided to jack the car up right near the mudflap (near the stone guard). So both sides are dented in..will this effect me being able to install the flares?

Anyone have Mazda install these? How much did it cost..I'm a little unsure about "drilling" into the body haha

If you scared to drill the holes or question it at all either take it to Mazda or a reputable body shop. Shouldn't cost much at all for either to do.
