I just scheduled an appointment to get "presidential tints" (5%) on my 8 in two weeks. I'm sooo excited. I can't wait for the cops to pull me over!!! Lol, I also got custom plates ordered. Hopefully they come in the mail in about 2 weeks.

I'm on the road to makin my baby looking and sounding unique!

Speeding is my preferred method of getting tickets.

 

i got a FEW to many of those in the last few months .... i get caught again im gonna get a suspended license

In matter of fact I had gotten pulled over the other day for talking on my cell phone. My driver window doesnt come down the cop comes to my window and it's still up and im like telling him my window doesnt come down, so I open the door cuz i had to give him my stuff...this dude decides to put his hand on his gun like i was about to get out my car and do something to him, what an

so before i get these tints, i gotta get that window fixed

 

If it makes you feel better, I have had 5% tint on my rear windows since September 2003. No tickets yet.

 

ive had 5 percent on all windows...not windshield..just got a fix it ticket...just gonna extend it till its necessary...then take it off...and put it back on..just cuz it lo0ks cleannnnn!

 

this is a real bad time of year to tint your windows, because you can't wash them or roll them down for like 2 weeks

 

^ mine was 3 days for rolling them down. it depends on where you go and what they use.

 

2 weeks?! mine was only 3 days also..

 

3 to 5 days is usually the suggested time....
it all depends on the climate conditions......

If you leave it cooking out in the sun with 90+ degree weather, you should be set in about 24 hours or so.....

 

Mine was also 3. dont know where you got 2 weeks..

 

mine was about 3 days, and i could see it was done, the windshield i can see was about 5 since it was still a lil hazy.

btw im part of the presidential club, i had 5% on my maxima and loved it so much i couldnt see getting anything else so i put 5% on the rx8 too....i even went a step further and put 35% on the windshield. the 5% isnt too bad, it is quite hard to pull out my drive way at night but i can do it safely.

The windshield is actually useless....i got it hoping it would help me in my commute in the morning since im driving directly into the sun for 6 months out of the year....but it actually feels like it got a little worse...the glare and reflection off the windshield feels worse, only the actual heat coming through feels better. i plan to remove the tint and going 2 shades darker.

I got 5% on the rear doors and rear windshield. Its a bitch to see in the night. I usually wind down my windows.

I have Legal limit 35% on the front.
