possible new look for the 8

I have been trying to think of a way to change up the look of the 8's bumper, I hate hate hate the plastic on the bottom. Then I looked at an older Ferrari 360 Modena, and it has a similar setup on the bottom, though maybe if we delete the unpainted plastic, how it might look.

There is an aftermarket front bumper (forgot which one) that would pretty much give the look you're after.

There are what, about 16 different front ends available for this car? And most of them aren't too bad. One of them should fill the bill, Blackout.

I think he's going for a cheaper solution (maybe?). So a whole new front might not be an option for him, but the front lip would work. While new fronts and the lip look nice... The few times I've driven a bit too close to a curb when parking etc, I've been thankful it's that stupid plastic... Though that's rare and in most cases the 8 is high enough anyways I think

if you just get rid of the bottom part of the bumper, its gonna be very very bad for your cooling, also downforce

well this wasnt so much with intention of doing it, just something i noticed while detailing my car. And yes, it is true that at the moment getting a new front end isnt an option. Money for me right now is a rare commodity. I am not ricey, I would rather get a MS bumper or Ings-net kit pictured above. Like them better. In answer to the comments about cooling and downforce, I wouldnt totally delete the under piece. IF i did this, i would trim it back far enough that standing in front of the car, it cant be seen but leaving most of it intact.

I see you're rocking Federal SS 595's aswell (or 595's, depending if they were manufactured before or after they changed the name lol)

I actually kinda like the black plastic there... But I plan on grabbing the lip from an Appearance package at some point.

that plastic piece protects your radiator from a lot of stones and other road debris. removing it for a cheap (albeit better looking) body mod could end up being pretty expensive.

even mazda agrees it looks better without it, thats why its black and not red. to try to make it disappear.
