PIAA xtreme white fogs still yellow

Hello all,

I just replaced my fogs with PIAA Xtreme White Plus H11 lights but they are still very yellow. My fog casing is the stock casing. Any ideas what is going on?

What are you comparing the color to? Stock HID's? I have the same lights in fog and they are clearly white, but not as bright as my headlights. If they are clearly YELLOW and not dingy, perhaps they sent you the wrong bulbs. Mine were covered w/the blue tint.

Yes, I'm comparing to stock HID's, and also the stock fogs. They are the same yellow that the stock fogs are. The Piaa bulb is only very slightly blue tinted. How blue are yours?

I know this is resurrecting an old post but I would venture to ask if the stock fogs have the multi-tint coating to make the fogs yellow.

Anyone seen the multi-tint? It looks like they should shine blue but actually do 'lellow.

i had the same problem after buying those... i just exchanged them for the plasma yellows. the only way to get a perfect match is to get HID fogs to match.

I'm not terribly impressed with the PIAA H11's either. I installed mine last night, I installed one and then fired them up and I could barely tell the difference between the PIAA and stock. I may try the Nokya H11.

Those won't match either because you'll have Projectors in your headlights but not your fogs. Heres an example of how it'll look...

Pretty shitty IMO.

The Xtreme Whites are meant to be a pure white color. If you want a bluish tint go with the PIAA Xtreme Force

I had Nokya's on my previous car and they burnt out in 1 month. They may work fine in the RX-8... but just a heads up.

Yeah, I've decide against Nokya after reading a few other threads here. The PIAA Xtreme Force looks promising.
