don't waste your money on a wiper with a spoiler, just get a regular one. I put a set of the PIAA super silicone blades on my 8 and love them - I had silicone blades on my last car and they are something I will always put on every car I own.

are these something any ordinary parts store will have, or? Just wondering as with all the construction around here, normal wiper blades are a bit undermatched.

Are they really better than any other wipers? How long is the average life of these blades?
I'm pretty sure the size is the same for all blades for this car though.

The piaa wipers are amazing. I wouldnt spend the money on the ones with the spoilers unless you plan on spending lots of time at really high speeds. Even then, the spoilers dont help a whole lot.
The Piaa blades are supposed to last as long if not longer than OE blades. I have had the Piaa blads on my protege for almost 2 years and just noticed the other day that i may need to replace them soon. I also have them on my 8 and have had them on there for 6 months with no signs of wear.
The spoiler can be taken off of the blades with a torx head bit. just a FYI

TIP: The PIAA silicone refills fit the OEM frames just fine. Actually the OEM frames are of better quality than the PIAA brand frame (the driver side has more 'touch' points).

I've had the PIAA silicone blades on my car for over a year now and they are holding up well.

I have the premium Rain-X blades and I love em. Got them at WallyMart for $20 bucks for the pair or less.

I gotta disagree! I used the PIAA's last year, but the were dead by the end of the summer.
try Bosch Microedge's.
The have a bit of a spoiler on them & the clean rediculously! No chatter crystal clean !
