Hey guys so a friend of mine is going to paint whole 8 for 1k
I am hesitating between 2 colors red-orange mat with mettallic back on the roof side mirrors and triangle on the hood or mat grey or black. What do u guys think ?

Any other ideas welcome

 

Matte burnt orange paint w/wet cf accents on the car. Wet cf wrap the roof to match the accents. Don't put a triangle on the hood - there are already two triangles spinning under the hood - a picture of a third one on the hood would be too much.

 

Cf accents ? The triangle i really think it would look good tho otherwise way too orange

I've never been a big fan of vinyl images on cars - reminds me too much of fast n' the furious. Very difficult to pull off tastefully. I also feel that triangle images on a rotary is pretty common. I've seen this scheme on rotaries since the rx7 was brand new. Once again, its a matter of preference of course.

CF accents as in, maybe having a cf hood painted in burnt orange but leave the vents CF. Bake the head lamps and do a wet cf backing instead of the flat plastic black. replace the stock black plastic trim on the mirrors n' do them in wet cf. have the rear black plastic trim by the exhaust wrapped in wet cf....just some ideas.

 

Just paint it one colour and be done with it.

When you are done there is a perfect place to post some pictures....Look at "What not to do to your car" thread. Also add some pictures with what you did a few days ago (replacing the stock intake with just an air cone filter attached straight to the throttle body). Sorry man, but I strongly believe you should let the car alone...

 

Why do u care ? As i said it was just trying the cone not planning on keeping it on. It's not because u like stock looking cars that u have to come here and bitch about what i think. Post some colors suggestion instead. Yea i like ricer style but well made so it will look good and has nothing to do with that thread

Don't go too crazy with the paint job, just keep it simple with one color, maybe paint the roof black if you like.

Anything too far from the norm and you will have trouble when you sell it and it won't age as well.

You might not like that look in a few years time.

When I think of ricer I think of poorly fitted wide body kits, neons and candy orange paint.

I agree with u on the point that their tunnig taste are horrible like tunning a clio or 106 it looks gay and thats absolutely what i avoid. Everybody bitching about this but hey we all own a 8 so why not giving cool ideas ?
