Painted taillights
Anyone have any experience with taking the tail lights apart and painting the inside?
I'm coming from the WRX world where people would bake their headlights, and pull them apart and paint the inside.
I want to get rid of any of the silver in the taillights I hate the look of them. Black and red would be sweet like I beleive the IS300's and s2000's or the new Mazda 3's.
so has anyone tried it?

A freind of mine did that to his WRX. They stick the tail lights and headlights in the oven at a certain temp, pull the lenses from the front and paint them with high temp spray paint. Then they just put everything back together with a certain sealant and they're good to go.

I think It should be the same, just be careful with the l.e.d.'s inside the tail light assembly, who knows how those things are wired. What piece did you want to paint?
