i would recommend painting it black keeping with the two tone color accents that do come stock on the 8. I have a winning blue too, i was planning on painting the rear diffuser black along side with the mirror accents. it would like nice.

the rear diffuser and the black plastic mirror accent. its easier than constantly having to polish the black plastics to keep it looking clean with the rest of the car.

Where did you buy it from? Rx8 strakes or is it custom?

I think, you'll be the first with the appearance package. Most painted plastic parts that I've seen never have the appearance package on them. I'll have to see in person, let me know when you get your car back..

Suggestion, what about painting that area on the stock rear bumper the same gunmetal gray that comes as the accent color on the Mazdaspeed body parts. That's what I'm having done with my rear section, as it's cheaper (and I think better looking) than the MS rear.

I hope some of you know, that's only a photoshop. The real deal should be finished soon, and he'll post better pictures of the finished product once it's done..

Hey English dude!
If your going to paint in there next to the Exhaust best get some Exhaust Shrouds so you dont melt the paint onto your Exhaust tips!

Yeah, you might actually need this, especially if you drive your car hard or a long distance and your exhaust tips get hot. But, especially if you go aftermarket and the tips are 3" big, you will definitely need that!
