Paint on strakes is chipping

I got my strakes a little less than a year ago from rx8strakes.com. The paint is now starting to chip and I was wondering what I should do. I was thinking about buying some touch up paint and just covering the chips, but didnt know how good that would look. I suppose I could just take the paint all the way off and get them entirely repainted, but I'm not sure where I would find the titanium grey paint to do that. I also considered repainting them a different color that wouldnt identically match my Ti. Grey but didnt know which color would look best. Any suggestions??

Sorry if I rambled a bit but I'm tired, hungry, and waiting for my GF to finish making the dinner.

I bought the OEM's in '03 and have had no trouble with them. What is the base material under the finish of yours? Are they metal or ?? Will a magnet grab hold?

They are wood, painted with the exact same ti-grey as my car. The paint quality was great when I first got it, thats why I was surprised to see it chipping.

Wood? Are you serious? I trust that they were a bargain price. You might try sanding them down and using a good exterior-grade stain like Rhinoguard or Olympic.

Why would you buy wood strakes???? Just go get the real thing and be done with it. Also painted strakes generally don't look very good anyway.

For the record, our strakes are NOT made out of wood. That would be just plain crazy. They're made from plastic.
