To Paint or not to Paint?

Short story, I got a hood... Wondering if maybe I should paint it to match the car. Opinions? Thanks.

I think it would look good painted and leave the carbon exposed on the vent louvers.

Exposed carbon is a thing of the past IMO.

Paint it, but use the carbon as an accent like others suggested: leave the vents or anything else you would like exposed.

That's a good idea, I never though to leave some CF as accents. I might play around in photoshop with it and see if I can find something I like.

As for my MS spoiler, I bought it from a member of the forums 4 years ago, it's authentic to fitment is perfect.

Authentic CF MS spoiler? No. But if it's black then yeah it can be authentic. As for the hood, I think CF hoods on stock bodied cars looks horrible. Way played out. Also that front emblem is an eye sore. But to each his own, do what you think looks good and makes you happy.

It's not a CF spoiler, it's just painted BB.

I have the front to the MS kit in WB but the sides and rear I had to order from dealerships because I couldn't find anything from the normal vendors so I'm waiting until June to paint the whole kit and install it.

The emblem came out too large, so I will have to get it cut a little smaller but I love the design and it adds a lot of originality to the car.

Your car has all these cool add on features that look terrible as the car sits now to be honest...If you throw a MS kit on there, or another clean looking kit it will transform your car. Right now the Accolade fenders, Hood, and CF MS wing just look out of place with the stock bumper...

Oh, and get rid of that hideous rotary emblem on the front.

I bought this car for two reasons; I love rotaries and I love how it looks. I've never seen the need for any body kit or any large spoiler. I am perfectly happy to drive the car with a stock body modified how I want it. I probably never would have bought the MS kit if I wasn't putting a turbo in the car and wanted a larger grill for the intercooler. This car is rare enough, specially in Germany. There is no such thing as "played out"

BTW the spoiler isn't CF, it's BB as I stated before and I also already have an MS kit waiting to arrive... read the thread before posting?
