? on paint + install of VeilSide kit

Hi, Im planning on purchasing the Veilside Vs D1 GT body kit. I've been in contact with several body shops to get an estimate on the cost of having the kit painted and put on, but they are unable to give me one until they see the kit. Could anyone tell me about how much I should expect to pay to have this kit painted and put on? Thanks for your help!

pmed u bluedragon. also fitment with the product of veilside we have is very good. here in cali, orange county around 100ish is usuall install fee. and paint? all depends on how good of quality of paint you want it. you get wut u pay for. so decent paint? around 500. from there. it usually climbs up. 400-450 if u get a good deal.

Good good.. it's always good to plan ahead with these things. I'm sure some of the other members that don't have all the funds buy the kit, without thinking it through when it comes to the paint/install. It's still an expensive process... but as long as you're prepared, then you're all good. Never ever drive around with a unpainted/unfinished body kit.. that's just so... Civic-y.

It also depends on the colour, vel red is the worst to match, so costs more. Last year my v1 in red cost 800.00gbp for fitting and spraying. That was using paint direct from ICI who supply Mazda. He did a fantastic job, see pic

My D1GT skirts were £180 GBP to paint and about £200 to fit as the D1 GT skirts fit where they touch, there's nothing to mount them against other than the door sill and wheel arches. My guy built some brackets with sprung bungs to secure along the underside of the car. They are rock solid and a year on are still as secure as when first fitted. Expect the fitting to be more than paint as in general it seems (for the skirts certainly) a fair bit of prep work is needed.

(Last two were before the MS mirrors were installed)

Silver/White, are the hardest to match. Because of the lightness of the color, and the fact that it has pearlescence in the paint makes it difficult to replicate. The darker the color, the easier it would be to match it. That's why you see so many ugly half-done looking White bodykits out there... the kit never matches the body.
