According to US DOT rules, side markers have to be amber (or red in the rear) and reverse has to be white/clear.

Hey dhan:
Here is what I recommend: get some LED bulbs form vleds.com for the parking lights and for the fogs get some from www.hoen-usa.com . They have white or yellow, both will look good.
Blue reverse lights are illegal in CA

Here's what my lights look like:

I have all white LED for running and side marker lights, and 2500K bulb for fog light.
I know they are all illegal in CA but I never got into any problem with it.

Even I got pulled over because no front plate 4 times (no ticket, eventually my front plate relocation kit arrived from Japan, so I put it back on).

Cop never mention about the light.

check my albums for others angle.

Finally dug it up;

"24606. (a) Every motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, of a type subject to registration and manufactured on and after January 1, 1969, shall be equipped with one or more backup lamps either separately or in combination with another lamp. Any vehicle may be equipped with backup lamps.
(b) Backup lamps shall be so directed as to project a white light illuminating the highway to the rear of the vehicle for a distance not to exceed 75 feet. A backup lamp may project incidental red, amber, or white light through reflectors or lenses that are adjacent or close to, or a part of, the lamp assembly.

(c) Backup lamps shall not be lighted except when the vehicle is about to be or is backing or except in conjunction with a lighting system which activates the lights for a temporary period after the ignition system is turned off.

(d) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with a lamp emitting white light on each side near or on the rear of the vehicle which is designed to provide supplemental illumination in an area to the side and rear not lighted by the backup lamps. These lamps shall be lighted only with the backup lamps.

Amended Ch. 813, Stats. 1981. Effective January 1, 1982."

Check my sig pic. I have v-leds high power white LED parking lights, and 18 LED SMT white sidemarker bulbs with the sidemarker reflector knocked out. They look really good and you definately won't have problems with cops. They also match the stock HID's very well.

Yeh!
I pulled the sidemarker reflector out also.
It was so dim before the mod.

Yeah I was surprised how much brighter and cleaner of a look it was with the reflector knocked out. I actually had no choice but to push it in so the 18 LED bulbs would fit. The reflector is still in there, but you can't really see it since it is at the end and doesn't compromise light output.

They said my car is nice so they just give me a warning for front plate. No ticket.

I was kidding.

I would say definitely go with the white VLEDs and the Hoen match fogs. I have the same exact setup as Jedi...
And here is a link to the DIY for how to remove the reflectors.

Hope this helps. And post pics when you're done!

I don't think amber one has the reflectors.

For clear one, I used flat screw driver to lift and bend the base. Then I used long nose plier to fold the reflectors and pulled it out.
Everything is done thought the bulb socket. No bake-open is needed.

I'm not currently using these, but I keep them around as my backup bulbs. PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow H11 bulbs. They are the yellowest bulbs that I've personally seen. No yellow film needed... all bulb.

You cant have your whole back lights white now?
First, the corner lights are not signal lights, just markers. They are on all the time, they don't flash with the signals. The front turn signals you can change to white, the rears you can not, they have to be amber or red.

Here's some CA regs for signals for ya:

Any turn signal system used to give a signal of intention to turn right or left shall project a flashing white or amber light visible to the front and a flashing red or amber light visible to the rear.

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc24953.htm

Oh, and your reverse lights are already white, unless you are talking about going LED white.
