I like the front and the sides, but not crazy about the spoiler.

rlockyer 05-17-2004 07:01 AM

side's i like but not that black thing i would lose that bit,
but not sure about the front bumper?? dont like the two little holes,

pepe 05-17-2004 07:32 AM

I reckon take the soften the edges on the front and take out the split in front of the oil coolers and you'd be lookin' a treat...

Japan8 05-17-2004 08:38 AM

I agree pepe.

ANyone know if this is fiberglass or urethane? I'm betting FRP...

Kel Rx8 05-17-2004 03:54 PM

not sure what to think
i know the front looks like a r34

mikeb 05-17-2004 06:44 PM

thanks for the pics

the front is ok
but the sides are like everyone else's

takahashi 06-26-2004 05:20 AM

Hey besides the look... I think it is marginal for sex appeal.

It meant to be functional... the main 3 big ones are for oil cooler and radiator.

The 2 small one on the top is for the intake pipes... is there a pic illustrate this? I only found it in their ads

takahashi 06-26-2004 05:24 AM

There itis !

Label translation from left to right.

To oil cooler (right)
To radiator
Intake temperature down to increase BP.
Stretching shape to "Canned" shape?!
Oil cooler air escape duct.
Tyre "housing"?! flow?~!

Anyway... seems they have thought about the car more than the looks

robertdot 06-26-2004 11:36 AM

Ah, crap. Now I like this kit more. Just wish it looked a bit better. Maybe I could just modify a fiberglass kit to have the intake holes. At least someone is thinking about these issues. That gives me hope for the future.

David_M 06-26-2004 11:42 AM

Won't the rebar be in the way of those small bumper hole on US models?

Omicron 06-26-2004 12:15 PM

I like it just fine except for the protrusions on the lower corners of the front piece, and the black bracing on the front edge of the side skirts. don't even mind the rear wing, although it needs to be body color.

Not bad overall though. Looks like they even gave some thought to the airflow functionality of the front end.

shelleys_man_06 08-06-2004 02:24 PM

This kit looks pretty functional, at least according to Taka's diagram, but it's pretty much butt-ugly. I think it will be hard to improve on the stock front end, much like the FD3S.

Ned M 08-06-2004 11:03 PM

The little black spats behind the front wheels appear to be a takeoff on F-1 barge boards.

The front end has many of the current drift stying cues, IMO.

Can anyone i.d. those rims? I like those.

Kel Rx8 08-06-2004 11:19 PM

the wheels are ssr wheels

shelleys_man_06 08-06-2004 11:37 PM

Figures; there's a big vinyl sticker that says SSR on the side. ;)

IZoomZoomI 08-07-2004 04:28 AM

hrm those rims do look nice kinda remind me of the ms rims, wonder if it's as light as the competitions.

orbist 08-07-2004 02:14 PM

On the air intake front, it surprised me when I took the bumper off my car today that the air intake is behind the rebar. Doesn't seem like there is any real way for air to flow freely up to that height given that the stock bumper has a non-functional main grill (i.e. its blocked off) I would have thought they would have routed some air from the lower section. There are two other intake pipes that seem to lead to the engine coolant, and another further into the engine bay that I couldn't trace.

Hopefully with a fully functional grill with the INGs kit that more cool air will be available to the stock air intake.
