Nite Shade tail light tint removal. Help

Has anyone removed the spray on tail light tint "Nite Shades"? I screwed it up and it looks terrible and want to redo it asap. Whats the best way to remove it without messing the tail light up? I heard gasoline works well but im not sure...?

ive heard of people using acetone on the tail lights spray on and wipe of but it must be done fast and it will leave a haze that is not noticable if redone with niteshade

Sanding is going to be the only real way to remove it. I've attempted to use nite shade in the past and I highly suggest having them painted. The problme with Nite Shade is it fades with sunlight exposure. Within 6 to 8 months my tail lights would be nearly back to stock looks.

An automotive painter can put a few light coats of paint and a clear that will not fade.

I saw a youtube video of a guy using gasoline so I gave it a try and it came right off instantly without damaging anything. They are now back to stock looks. You can't even tell they were ever black.

I also used gas when I took mine off. Took some hard scrubbing and a somewhat rough towel. The thought of sanding my lights scarred the crap outta me so I did it the semi long way. Wear gloves

Yeah I wasnt about to screw up my lights by sanding them. Paper towels and gas got it done perfectly.
