Post New Rims

Hey everyone. I've had my rx8 since june of '06 and have been waiting for the right time to possibly purchase some rims that i'd like to put on the car (same size that i already have; 18). My concern though is, will it affect my Tire Pressure Monitoring System?? Does anyone know what my best solution would be and has anybody else done this already??

Info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

You have to ensure your new rims will accept the TPMS modules. TireRack.com for one advises of this fittage or not when you research rims.

If you go without the modules you'll get a steady low pressure light on your dash. If you check your tire pressure often, which you should regardless, not a bit deal.

I personally think the stock 18" wheels are just the right size, but truly an eye of the beholder item. Some people like to fill more of the wheel well with rim (19" rim, lower profile tire) and some moreso with rubber (17" rim, higher profile tire). Get whatever You like.
