I think the first foglights or piaa extremes would be sweet

Lots of mixed opinions. To each their own though. I'm going to wait awhile before I do any more mods. I gotta let the pocket book recover. But I'm trying to decide between the ING+1 and Mint Blue spoilers. When I get my tax return I'm getting the JIC Exhaust and RP Super High Flow Cat. Down the line I want to fill in that space in the front bumper with an intercooler, but it will be at least a year before I get any kind of f.i. I'm thinking either Blitz, A.F. or Greddy.

hey mike, been wanting to ask, how is the fitment in the rear? Can you take some close up pics of the rear?

The back is going to be painted black to match the rear, but the bodyshop wants to do that after I put the kit on. I need to find a way to fill in the gaps in the rear as well. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done to it, but at least its finally on.
I found there was a fair amount of play on exactly where the bumper was positioned and the bolts fixed to the front of the engine bay. If you take some time you can get it so that the gap is even at both sides of the bumper / hood. I do have a larger panel gap between the bumper and hood than before but I've got used to it - and as long as its even at both sides it doens't look out of place.

Good kit choice and on the best colour

If you have any luck with fog lights / fitting them please let me know as I'm still fog-less with my INGs+1 front.

Any chance of some more pics of the rear spats up close, they look great and I've been wondering about adding them to mine - best pics I've seen of them that show what you actually get for your money.

MS wing would finish it off lovely!

The rear doesn't fit too well. Between the two rear pieces, and the actual bumper there is like a 1/4 inch gap. I'm not sure how I'm going to fill that in. The part that actually goes on the side, I need to put some double sided tape to make it stick correctly, but the way the rear is made, this is very difficult to do.

What did you use to alter/trim the front bumper? I want to take care of that by this weekend, but sure what tools to use.

If you undo the 4 bolts (and throw away the two white plastic stud things!) and push the bumper into position, there is a bit of play in most directions, then secure the bolts again. If it doesn't get better, then you could try adjusting the holes on the bumper where you attach the re-used mounting bracket thing (the bit that comes off the black metal bracket that comes off the stock bumper and attaches to the INGs bumper). I had to play about with the pre-drilled holes in the INGs bumper anyway to get the metal bracket that you re-use to fit perfectly.

Just been looking at the pics again and I think the front looks subtly different from mine. Looks like its sitting at more of an angle. (sloping backwards to wards the rear of the car)

Did you remove the 'poly' 're-bar' thingy? I took it off mine for better fittment and that may be whats causing the bigger and uneven gaps between the hood and bumper?

Attached a pic to compare (not perfect as its not the same profile as yours)

Your bodyshop should be able to make it fit... find a place that makes it fit better! :P It may cost a bit more money, but at least no one will say junk about it. Looks cool, I love the Ings+1 kit!

Ya, finish it off with the Ings wing... <ahem.. I have one that's why>.

I actually took the rebar off. I'm going to physically cut the inside of the bumper this weekend so that I can put it back on. And on the left side I HAD to do what you were saying with the light in order to even get the bumper on. I think the problem is that a tiny bit needs to be trimmed off in the area of the headlights. That way I can push the bumper more in place. Didn't realize I'd run into all this trouble, but thats half the fun of modding right?

I got the kit from Mathew over on www.rx8garage.net. Pretty good guy. You can email him and he could feel you in on all the pricing. Lets just say if you want a cheap kit, this definitely isn't it. I got the hybrid aero, so that added to the price as well. I have no idea about rotary extreme. I'm local as well, but I never even thought about calling them. I'm more of a diy type of person.

Yeah, I had some fun with the 'clear corners' area, getting them to fit right, and at the test fitting the headlight area seemed fine. Maybe the extra thickness of the paint did it but mine too is pretty tight round the lights.

Still as you say, all good fun!

Compared to the attrocious state my Veilside skirts turned up in the INGs is positively OEM!!!
