New Bumper for my car.

I rarely post on this area of the forum simply because I am a functional kind of guy and I usually do little to the exterior (except wheels) unless I have to. I like body kits and how they look I just cant ever muster up and change something that is not damaged.

Well, I had an incident about a year ago with a curb at high speed that damaged my front bumper a little. The damage was so minimal that I have ignored it since but it has bugged me enough that I am ready to finally replace the front bumper. And of course decisions decisions...I want some input. Most people are familiar with my car but if you are not it is a BB 2004 GT with a really nice Front Mount. Keeping that in mind, I would like to ask people for their opinion from the following kits which are in no particular order:

1.Autoexe SE-03c:
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...RX8Porsche.jpg

http://image.nengun.com/catalogue/or..._kit_-_rx8.png

2.Autoexe SE-02 (I belive thats the name) which also comes in a Shine version:
http://www.vividracing.com/forums/ga.../4/3/_3342.jpg

3.ATH replica by Magnat_Man if its still available:
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/great-ath-replica-bumpers-151777/

Please back your opinions with personal experience when possible, whether it be that you own one of these or at least has seen one in person.

Thanks a million to all.

Best regards,
Chris

Holy crap...that is sick.

Hey, don't you have the SE-03C? If so, can you post some pics? I haven't seen one that shows the clear lines of it, the dark blue one is hard to see because of the all the reflection.

I will see if I can get that bumper from RE...it looks expensive though..lol

Thanks.

Chris

If those are the only choices, my vote goes to Autoexe SE-02. Give us more info such as the color of your car. Are you also looking into getting sideskirts and the rear?

I wrote it on the original post, its BB (brilliant black) 2004 RX-8...

I do like the Se-02...its a little bit more natural and still looks good...

Autoexe SE-03c, Fujita Engineering (FEED), or the RE-Amemiya gets my vote. They're one of the best looking bumpers for the RX-8 with the exception of the Mazdaspeed (which is played out).

IMO the SE-02 looks brilliant with an intercooler to back it up, same with the INGS. I was pretty much dead set on the INGS full kit, but I might use the SE-02 front end instead...funds permitting.

Yes I have the SE-03c, one of about a dozen or so out there. I went one step further and modified mine, the only thing that I was ify about was the light overhang that is located in the upper corners of the main grill. So first here are some SE-03c pics as the bumper comes outta the box, And I have to say outta the box the fitment is spot on, me and my body guy dry fitted it and he had never seen an aftermarket bumper fit like that before,,,
Ohhh and as for price the SE-03c and RE bumper are about the same,,,

Now heres the mod to the main grill I just mentioned,,, I raised the upper line of the main grill about 2 inches, no more overhang smiley,,,

Another pic of the SE-02,,,,

hehehe...currently I am between the shine replica of the SE-02, because I can get it without paying for shipping from japan, and the RE-amemiya one. If I am paying shipping from japan I might as well get the RE...so no worries

He is talking about 2004!

Those kits only fit the 2009 and above.

As far as Op choices, there are several kits, including a REAmeyia has two.

Pick what you like as you have to drive it everyday.

Ok

I just got a quote from Vivid Racing for the RE-Bumper and I think the price is a bit ridiculous. They quoted me 1350.00 plus 5-600 for shipping. that is 2k for an unpainted bumper in FRP if I want carbon(I dont, but if I did) it would be 130.00 more.

Seems like alot more than RE advertises on their site. about 450.00 too much. I will contact Mazmart about the Autoexe SE-03c one to see how much that one runs since its my second choice at the moment.

Any ideas on where to get Re-Amemiya stuff in the US? I'd like to get a second quote somewhere to compare...If I can get a 1400.00 or under, shipped quote I will probably move on it.

Thanks.

Chris

Got a quote from Yuki...he told me to go through his site to calculate price and shipping...

Price went down to 1043 with no grills but with the grill its 1400+...shipping was calculated at 775 and I ahve to pick it up at the airport or 950+ to have it at my house...crazy...

I just cannot justify this much spending for a bumper so It is not part of the choices any more...as much as I like it... :/

buddy club, its faaar and away cheaper than the rest. race roots and th motorsports both carry it. and you could order it from buddy club usa i think. you can get it a lot of places. you dont have to have it shipped from japan.

and it looks bad ***. would look really nice with big fat intercooler in there as well.

Your options are going to be less if you are not willing to import the bumper. You should consider MS, Buddy Club or Vertex Lang. MS will come painted with perfect fitment.

If you want Vertex, I know of a place you should check. Sort of sucks that you have to import so much of the good stuff for our car, but it also makes it more unique I guess.
