Nasty swirl marks.
I attempted to take out a scratch on my hood with a rubbing compound that states on the label " safe for clearcoats ". Actually it was not safe at all, the scratch is stil there and the surrounding area has noticable swirl marks, any suggestions as to how I should remove the swirl marks ? Thanks.

Agreed. Maguires is the best stuff ever. Use swirl x then they're clay kit. Thennn wax with their nxt wax. Ur car will look better than the day it came outta the factory
It's a proccess. Few hours. But you'll love the result.
U can clay then swirl x as well. If u go to the website they show u what to do. They have. Videos. They are a really good well rounded company

Ya u can use a machine polisher but I like hand waxing cuz the machines are such a pain to get the material off cuz it melts it into the paint. It lasted longer but u can get more detailed by hand and a good about of compounds and pressure. Deticate a Saturday and u will love the reults.
