Nasty paint chips
Hey, im new. I purchased my Nordic Green 2004 RX8 about a week ago and i am in love, but i noticed a problem today and it made me feel sick. I went out to my car to the passenger side to get something out of the glove box and i noticed that on the bottom edge of the door handle the paint is starting to chip off. You can feel the chips and they are relatively deep. I wanted to see if anybody else has ever had a similar problem or do i just have bad luck. I included a picture and the quality isn't too great but it atleast gives you an idea. Any idea what's up? Im 100% positive it wasn't there when i got the car, but i am unsure if it started today or yesterday. Any information on what i should do is appreciated. Thanks.

Mentalhealth is overrated
no problems with my car...I've had it since July. Do you use the remote or your keys to open your door? Is it possible your keys are coming into contact with the paint?

I've only used the remote so far, and i've actually only opened the passenger door a handful of times, and my keys were never in my hand at the time.

I bought the car on wednesday last week and there were no chips on the handle at all. I used the handle yesterday and i didnt feel the chips like today but i might have missed them. Today I saw the spots and i thought they were water spots because there are alot of those on the front and behind the wheels and up onto the door, (i need a wash already) but i got closer and i saw and felt the chips. Thanks for the replies so far.

thats what she said
what I would do is yell at all the passesngers that rode with you.
I had a similar problem:
a couple of friends and I went to magic mountain.
after that trip, I noticed the passenger (front) door was all worn out.
I came to the conclusion that the they would kick the door open which would hurt the inside of the door.
I was mad
I was angry
I went nuts
then I cleaned it
