My 8 getting Veilside (pics)

Whadup guys.

Finally got some time to change the looks of my 8.

Got a Veilside Bodykit , same as on the car that came in Tokyo Drift.

The Tokyo Drift RX-8 was exported to Pakistan and the owner is my friend , ill try to get some snaps of it.

Aight so dry fitting was done , no its time to fit the kit properly , making the mounts etc. Side skirts are done.

pics.

My suggestion would be to dump that hideous bumper. There is a reason it is commonly referred to as FAILSIDE. But if you like it then go for it.

Too much going on IMO. I like a clean look.

/agree 100% That's why I think the MazdaSpeed is perfect for the rx8. Simple and sleek.

But to the OP, to each their own. It's your car, but you asked for suggestions so don't take it too personal

I would suggest painting it the same color as the rest of the car.

Don't try and justify your decision to us. It's your car, do what you want.

I didnt mean all of them are douchebags OFC i meant that each and every 8 i have seen with MS kit are owned by douches who dont even know they got MS kit cuz the cars are imported from japan with the kit already installed and the owners think its OEM.

To be honest i did want to go for MS kit but it doesnt make a big difference to the 8 stance

1 Being a little irrational are we?

2 I believe the Mazdaspeed bodykit would technically be OEM....

You don't have to go ugly to be unique.

If you think the MS is too common there are plenty of other good options that don't make your car look like ***.

imo the majority of veilside kits (not just for mazda) look like they came straight from the garage of some dude on ebay. The cuts and corners are all cut too aggressively and make the car look "noisy" ... and the splitters always look awkward like it was a last minute add on.

But thats just imo, like everyone else said, as long as you like it, then all the power to you. Not gunna knock you for taking some time and effort in modding your car.

veilside is pretty unique, mainly bc lots of people think its over kill.

I dont think that the car you posted as the "outcome" is a fail though

Not bad, but the angle on the front vs. the hood looks odd

That kit is definitely overkill. Not the style i'm looking for, but hey...to each, their own.

It seems on your dry fit that there is an awful lot of room between the bumper and the hood. Do you think that your paint job will close that gap enough to make it look correct?
