Ok i went to a shop that painted my old 2004 Rx8 velocity red front fender they matched the color perfect.

So i gave the manager a call and told him my new project:

Asked them to install:

- Replica MS kit / Spoiler
- Install my grill in it
- Paint the pieces to match my new black Rx8 2005

There asking me 2k + tax for the install and paint job.
I find it pretty cheap since i know they do a insane good job and there is no real price for that.

Im just wondering what should a job like this normaly cost.

 

Ill go out on a limb and say that pretty pricey. It depends on how much work the kit needs to fit I guess..if its a crappy fit, then yea they're going to have to put some work in on it. It all comes down to that really.
I can say that I had my front fitted, sides, rear bumper (all painted), a dent fixed in the rear quarter and painted, and the rear brace bar modified and cut to fit the kenstyle rear, it cost me around 1300k. Thats for the tri color WWP paintjob.

But if you know the quality is perfect, then spend the money, theres nothing worse than a botched install/paintjob

 

$1,300k? Damn! you got ripped off!.

 

Labor is expensive, so...it should be just right. You may find somewhere cheaper, but the quality and workmanship may not be that good.

 

I'd be willing to pay more for a quality professional installation.
