MS Bumper without side skirts?

Does anybody have any pictures of an RX8 with the Mazdaspeed bumper without the side skirts? I really like the MS bumper, but I'm not sure I like the side skirts and would like to see how the bumper looks with just a factory appearance package.

I dont have any pictures but I dont like it, 3/4 front and side views look weird... it looks like the RX-8 has a giant overbite.

It doesnt look good from the side. I had my MS front on for about 2 weeks before I put my sides on and it looked weird. Definitally looks alot better with the sides. If you have the sides that come with the Mazda appearance package then it will look ok, but still not flow as nicely as it does with the MS sides. mysql has the MS front and Appearance package sides and rear.

Mysql has some pics at various angles in this thread with the MS front + factory aero pieces.

FWIW I think it looks alright with all of the factory aero pieces (front flaps, aero flares, and rear flaps)

as long as you have the mud guards and the oe side skirts, it looks ok

https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1202599086

with just the ms bumper, it's acceptable, but it's not the best.

From experience, I think the sideskirts are a must. They don't have to be Mazdaspeed, but it does look empty without sideskirts.

Yeah, seeing those pictures, the mud guards are definitely a must at least so the bumper matches up properly in height. How far is your car dropped Mysql? I think that makes a pretty big difference in the look too with the sides.

It is not a MS bumper, but maybe you will find your answer with these pictures.

Hmm, I actually kind of like the mud guards better with the MS front than the MS sides... are the mud guards an OEM part? I saw this link:

http://mazdapartspeople.com/searchpr...+Splash+Guards

...of course no Black Cherry Mica just like every other body part.

Obviously a personal preference thing, but I think it looks great even with out the appearance pkg. IDK, I've always thought the appearance pkg made the car look too bulbous in profile. You be the judge:

I had my MS bumper on for a week before installing the side skirts (I had the factory aero flares before) and while it didn't look half bad, after putting on the side skirts it looks MUCH better.

I found this pic of mine that shows two RX-8's back-to-back, both with the MS bumper, mine only has the aero flares (ti gray one)

And a couple more recent ones I forgot about, even though the side is somewhat blocked on the second pic:

i agree with you 100% bro i think the aero flares make the rx8 look bad the stock body lines look amazing on the car and just the MS bumper with no skirts or anything looks fine your car is proof of that

Chicken: if you had front splash guards it wouldn't have looked as weird.

blackened: I agree, two sexy lookin' cars there! (Chicken + Mazdamaniac)
