Everyone,


Sorry if this is already covered but I could not find anything in searching even with google. I am a new owner of a 2007 8 and I have been fixing some of the blemishes it has accumulated along the way. What small item I want to tackle next is the small metal bit on the outside of the side rear windows where the paint has become halfway chipped off. Looking for any tips on how to either go about remove the rest of the paint so it is just silver, or repainting it to be black again.


I have enclosed a picture and both sides look fairly similar.

Remove it ( foxed.ca has the manuals you need), sand it and repaint it
A couple of hours i'd say if you don't consider the wait time between the paint layers.
