Mazdatrix Front Chin Spoiler??

Anyone seen this?

I haven't been on Mazdatrix's website for a while now but maybe this came out recently??

I kind of like it. Simple, cheap, hopefully not a hunk of junk??

My OEM lip is chipped like crazy so i've been thinking about a new lip.

my carbon lip broke, so I am going to buy this later for a replacement.
all you need to do is add a splitter and it will look great.

Why does that front mount look photoshopped onto the car?

I dont think it is but i see what you're saying. I'm not sure how splitter reinforcements are supposed to look with no splitter installed

Then again, based on your avatar, you're probably always a little suspect

I'm sure the metal bars need to be there, but judging from the small pic on the site I don't see how else the lip attaches to the bumper. At least from the bottom. Anyone have a clue?

The metal bars are stabilizers for extra support, they are not required.

This lip isn't exactly new, but it is a cheap option. I wonder how the fitment, I may have to pick one up for the hell of it at that price!

For reference:

Nice post Tilt. I too may pick one up just for that awesome price. I still however am having a hard time trying to figure out how the lip will attach to the bumper. Do you use the stock plastic bolts from the plastic under-tray shield?

My guess is the plastic undertray and 3m tape. It looks like mazdatrix used some metal fastners from the lip to the stock bumper to make it more secure.

Is the Mazdatrix lip on the same as the TC Sportline lip? It looks like it but hard to tell for sure.

It looks to me that it is pop-rivited in place.

Just called to confirm how the lip attaches, the guy asked his co-workers and most responses were 3M double sided tape.

I got one for my 07... seems to be good quality. I lined it up with the bumper and the fitment is great. Im going to have it painted to match before i install it. May drill some holes first and come up with somthing a little more secure than 3M... if anyone has any pice of a color matched installed on the car i would like to see what i have to look foward to.
