Hey does anyone have the template for the mazdaspeed spoiler install? It is used on the trunk to align the holes for drilling. Thanks

 

I'm pretty sure the OEM spoiler uses the same holes too.. so you could try looking for a template for either.

 

I'm pretty sure that they both use the same drill holes. I'm not sure though where to find the template. My trunk doesn't have the markings on the underside for the OEM spoiler so I have no idea where to drill.

Come on guys. So no one has kept their template for either of the spoilers?? I'm going to run down to the dealership sometime this week and see if they could print one of them out for me.

 

not many people drill for the oem spoiler (obviously b/c it comes with the car) and not many people get the ms spoiler. i mean, someone should chime in, but it's no the most common thing. and most people probably get a shop to drill the holes, so yeah they probably do not have the template. anyway, gl finding it! i'll sell you my trunk with the holes already drilled

 

I looked last night for the installation instructions with no luck.
I was told that my wing was installed backwards.
I would like to confirm that and return it to the body shop to correct

I bought a used ms spoiler, virgin trunk.
No idea where to drill either

 

use blue painters tape and mark it out.

1. put base on loose over brackets.
2. carefully lift up base and trace feet.
3. then trace feet and make template of each base using a pencil to find holes.
4. place base template on trunk marking center of holes, then drill.

thats what i did it takes a little time. and drill thought the tape to prevent chipping or anything like that
