Actually Accolade is a very good company. My friend has an Evo VIII, the yellow Arospeed one in the Evo VIII section of the site. He got his front bumper from Accolade. It's awesome, its a new type of material that has the same characteristics as abs plastics but is a mix of fiberglass and plastic... flexible but sturdy, no flapping in the wind or thin 1 ply bumper. He wasn't used to being so low having an Evo, so he's scraped pretty harshly a few times and there's no damage at all to the kit. Anyway, it fit perfectly, didn't have to make any modifications to it. And Accolade even gave it a yellow base coat at my friend's request so it would be easier to paint when it got here. And the paint on it is sticking just fine.

Hi Rotary Extreme, I was wondering how the MS kit is different from the orginal Mazdaspeed kit. Are they identical? Will they fit perfectly on the car without any type of adjustment?
I have a few firneds of mine that bought replicas and they didn't fit very well on their cars.
thanks

Fitment photos will be posted over the weekend. It's the exact copy. We even copied the brackets for proper fitment. The bodykit will not fit right without those brackets.

There is not going to be a fiberglass version at this time. Maybe in the near future. You can still paint over the carbon fiber if you don't like the carbon fiber look. Paint job for a wing like that shouldn't cost you more than $150.

rotary extreme,
so what you say is we can do the modification myself, without help from a bodyshop because the kit will fit perfectly? Thanks, and what is your estimate for painting the kit. I see that your front bumper was painted black, how much was that? Does paint come off easily, because my freind's paint came off the third day they painted it and the painting company said it was because they are fiberglass or seomthingl.

opps.. I though it was painted black. But anyhow, can rotary extreme please post a picture of the car sideways WITHOUT the side skirt. I want to see how the car will look with just the front bumpers. If it doesn't look awkward without the sideskirts I am planning to get it asap. =)

The kit fits the same as the original one. If you don't know how to put on body kit, you should seek professional help. Just like if a turbo kit fits perfectly, that does not mean every one knows how to install it.
All the bodykit pieces will come with instructions. If you follow the instructions, you shouldn't have any problem installing the kit. But if you really don't know how to do it, please take it to a expereinced bodyshop.
The kit comes in black gel coat. It's not painted. Your friend's bodyshop probably prepares the bodykit wrong. All fiberglass products come waxed. If you just paint it without cleaning off the wax, the paint is not going to stick. Saying fiberglass parts can't be painted properly shows how incapable the bodyshop is. Old Corvette's whole body is made of fiberglass.
As far as paint job, every bodyshop charges differently so I can't give you a quote. Shop around like you shop around for car parts. Make sure they have experience with painting fiberglass parts.
