Question Mazdaspeed body kit?

Hey guys/gals, I am thinking about ordering the rest of the Mazdaspeed body kit on Tuesday... I have been thinking about it for a while and have come to the point where I am stuck, I like it with and without...

What do you all think?

Personally, I think that it looks great the way it is right now. Eventually everyone will be driving around with the Mazdaspeed body kit, and I think this will keep yours looking original. Just my 2 bits!

I love the mspeed front end. I finally saw one in person and it looks really sporty, although your car is the nicest looking 8 I've seen (the wheels set it off, perfect!)

I wouldn't get the kit. You really do have the nicest looking 8 I have seen. I wouldn't mess with near perfection.

I have seen his car in person and it looks even better in person than in the photos.

I love the way it is but I will add the MazdaSpeed kit in. I have the black one just like yours and I am thinking using the MS front spoiler and wing with the factory side adn rear. That keep the rotary accent or in my case the rear fog light.

It is cheap in the US - get it.

My reasoning is this for the front spoiler:
It looks great.
Matches your wing.
Let more air in for the radiator
And still keep for fog with a bracket inserted.

hehe Am I trying to convince people to do the same --- especially in all black cars having the MS front. I will get mine by the end of the year.

This is one statement I don't understand. The appearance package is added at the factory, the dealer and by the individual. The Mazdaspeed package is ordered for a lot of money after all is said and done. You will see MANY more RX-8's with the appearance package than the Mazdaspeed kit.

THe Mazdaspeed kit is a no-brainer... it's hot! THe Appearance package... somedays I love and somedays I wonder what Mazda was thinking. However, the Mazdaspeed kit will bring lots of wanted and unwanted attention. The appearance package may just slip under radar a little better...

Why not stay as is until your feelings go one way or another instead of trying to decide now?

agree with Japan 8.. MazdaSpeed kit will stay in the world as long as RX-8 is here. You may not see another kit that you like in the future but hey, unless you want to sell the car next year, you have plenty of time to decide.

BTW cortc I think You have given me to picture prove and courage to put the MS wing without MS front spoiler - I don't even have the front air dam and front mud guard --- I will wait until I have money and time to put the MS front on

that pic looks great IMO all i'd change is the side skirts. i think the factory front bumper dun look to shabby, think it'll fit in nicely with the MS sides/ rear spoiler.

I say go with the MS kit. The appearance pkg sides are fugly, in my opinion. You already have everything else MS.
Some pictures to help you decide.

Got any ideas for the VFAD? rotarygod gave some math in a thread for calculating what length and diameter would be needed to optimally tune it as it is working based on resonance tuning. Otherwise if you aren't going to do that route... since you've got the big pockets, I'd say get the Auto Exe intake. Its power is pretty similar to RE, K&N and HKS, but... 1) Auto Exe is a major Mazda tuner (like Racing Beat) whose parts are sold at Mazda dealerships and 2)It looks cooler and more like it could have come from Mazda than the others.

After that... don't forget Mazda also changed out the cat and resonator, so I'd either pick up one from RMagic or Canzoomer.. Then top it all off with either the Mazdaspeed ECU flash, or get a Piggyback and squeeze out the last of the power.

Are you planning on getting the Mazdaspeed shifter? Front seats?

Would you mind giving us a total when you're done? ... even ballpark will do. I am wondering how far off of 3,600,000 JPY you're spending. I know it will be more... the salesman at my dealer said that getting the pieces separately will cost you more, but...

I'm at a loss as to which look I like better... the MS kit (UK lip spoiler thank you) or appearance package (UK lip spoiler too thank you). Subtle is good, but the MS kit makes it a bit more... M3 like. And you'll see less MS kits than appearance packages.

cortc, you car will look badass. Although I love it as it is... yours and MazdaManiacs are two of the smoothest 8's on the forum.
