LED bulbs

I have two questions regarding LED bulbs...

- first, was anyone able to locate a dealer who would have 7440 and 7443 LED bulbs that are brighter than the usual ones (from autolumination.com or superbrightleds.com)? Those are significantly less bright than the stock incandescent bulbs. I'd much prefer a layout where there are more LEDs on the side, so that the reflectors would work better with them. I'm using the 15-LED wedge matrix bulbs right now and am disappointed with the brightness. In daylight, these are not too good - I'm thinking about returning to stock due to safety reasons.

- second, any LED bulbs out there that don't burn out after a couple months? Many people wrote that their LED bulbs burnt out in a short period of time. Mine did not burn out yet, but I only have them for a few weeks now.

Thanks.

I got two 15-led to test, they are now in the reverse lights as they look cool there, but you are right there not bright enough for any safety related lights (brake-indicator-etc).
All my interior lights plus what you call parking lights and the number plate lights, Oh and the mirror lights are led's and have no problems with them yet. here' the site I got them from.

Those 15-LED bulbs at ultraleds.co.uk appear to be the exact same that autolumination and superbrightleds are selling... so it seems there is just one single source for these.
If they had at least 9 or 10 LEDs on the side, the reflector would be more effective. As it is, they are too dim.

you might be right. The 194/501 8 led's are very good, 4 5mm facing out and 4 3mm facing sideways gives out better light than originals. I'm still waiting till he gets something like 25+.
Did you try one in the reverse?

Yes, I have white 15-LED wedge bulbs in the reverse as well. For that, they are OK.

I have their bulbs already - just don't find them bright enough. That's why I created this topic to begin with.
And price-wise, autolumination is far from "awesome" - superbrightleds.com have the same bulbs for less money.
