LaminX fog film doesnt fit?
I got the yellow fog film from Lamin X and they appear to be a bit too small.
Lamin X says it the right product. Do I have to stretch the film to put it on?

yea mine were small too and trying to strech them out won't help much. From a distance they look great, but if your standing on either side of the vehicle up close you will see the clear lens part.

I purchased film, pre-cut to size, on-line from CarCustomZ in Tujunga, CA. They are on backing that says "Oracal 8300 Transparent Cal". I have done the fog lights and headlights, but am hesitant to do the taillights. The fog lights weren't difficult...just kept massaging the outer edges until the wrinkles smoothed down and it was tight to the lens. However, the headlights were more difficult. I could not get every one of the wrinkles smoothed down. It looks OK standing back, but close inspection reveals the wrinkles at a couple of the edges.
Since the headlight lens is only slightly convex and it was difficult, I am concerned about how I will stretch the film around the relatively sharp corner of the taillight lens. I used soapy water and a hair dryer on the front, as I had seen in the instructions, but it didn't seem that the film had much stretch to it.
Has anybody done their own film on the taillights?

NgoRX8 - Were you able to stretch them around the outside curve of the lens and flatten out all the wrinkles? Were yours pre-cut to size and did they end up centered on the lens or were there gaps at the edges?

i tried precut and threw it away. i then bought bulk and went at it
the main problem for me was the inside curve of the lens. it ended up having wrinkles there. the outside curve went on fine. i guess it has to do with how much you stretch it. i was able to stretch one the outside curve more since i had bulk, but the curve up top the brake circle was difficult.

yea i agree! i also have the lamin x and it is kinda small... i also bought a sheet off ebay recently and plan on cut it to fit. it cheaper too and in the long run you would have extra film if you ever need it in the future.
