lambo doors on the rx-8, ive seen it done, someone posted pic with them on 8, i wanna know how to get that done on my 8, it would be a nice little project and it would get crazy props. . . anybody know hot to go about this,

I actually like them... a lot... maybe down the road I will do this... but I will have to make sure they go 90 degrees... so I can fit my fat a$$ in...

 

lol i was thinking... i park my car in my garage at home and its actually really pact... i think i would have an easier time getting out with lambo doors... cuz you cant always park EXACTLY to the right so theres room for the driver to come out.... but actually writing this brings up another question... since the design is for you to pull out then push up... do you HAVE to pull out a certain amount or can you just do that a tad then pull out... cuz what if you're in a tigh situationa nd cant pull all the way out before you push the lambo doors up? do i make sense to yallz? also what happend to that guy who bought it for show and didnt want them and was supposively selling them....

 

I dont think I would park so close to another car that I couldnt slide the door out, it has to slide I would guess 3-5 inches if you are that close to something, then it doesnt make a difference what doors you got you are not getting out. :p

i second that tho they may be rice. its dope how many people do you actually KNOW who have lambo doors. its tight IMO

 

they are a PITA to get out of...and there is a "glide" mechanism that once you start to open the door and push out the door follows a path on the hinge that projects the door out and up...the angle of "out and up" is determined by each car make...clearances for front fender, A pillar, etc have to be taken into consideration...but because they DONT BELONG on the 8, or any other car except a Lambo...they will not go up a perfect 90deg so you kind of have to "duck" under them to get in and out...adds mega points on show cars..but totally impractical for daily use...

 

I like the idéa, but I would never ruin the cool suicide-door concept of this car with lambostyle doors. Plus,,, it really sucks when you enter a parking garage and can´t get out of your car because of the cealing. =)

 

well^^ in that case it also sucks going to a packed parking lot and you can open your doors all the way....

 

think of this, suicide doors AND vertical doors, not a regular door on the 8. . . . that would be REALLY sick IMO . .

 

ya i deff want to get lambo doors for my 8...like DanRedRx8 said lambo fronts and suicide rears would be sick. i just dont want to pay $3000 for them from a place like www.convert2vertical.com

 

Hey i know there is like a million people on here that said to get some rims before lambo doors but i have decided to do the lambo doors this month because im goin to wait till i need new tires to buy some 19" wheel and tire package. I will post pics as soon as i get it on. ps i ordered some that are 90 degree
