I have an aluminum undertray on my car. It's 12ga 6061 and it ain't going anywhere, no matter what I hit.
12mm aluminum would weigh a ton. That's 1/2"! Maybe you meant 1.2mm.

Anyway, we toyed with making a BHR tray like mine, but it was kinda shelved since we didn't think it was a worthwhile endeavor at the price point we thought was fair (about $150 - $175) which is all something like this is worth. Ours also included the uprights to the "turrets" so it wouldn't flop around.

At $450, this is just like all the other GTSpec RX-8 bottom-side parts: over-priced and essentially non-functional.

I would like to see BHR make one, $150-$175 or even $200 sounds a whole lot better then buying a GTSpec product. Better price and better product = No brainer. While at it, BHR should do an engine undertray like the beat rush product.

Well lets get a group together to make one for under 200$

I started a GI thread for an undertray and some functional aero parts, https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/gi-functinal-aero-parts-front-splitter-underbelly-pan-200996/
