Very tempting! Quality looks incredible... I just have to check the stock cover's compatilibility with an aftermarket strut tower bar before I can order!

Huff, you are not the only one. I have PMed Parker quite a few times in the past few days to no avail. I have asked him questions on his threads and no answer as well.

************************************************** **

The pitures are finally up!
Get your orders in A.S.A.P.
Your comments about the engine cover are encouraged.

The Pre-Market Special is still $235 with shipping included.

Many of you have already ordered the cover; and now that the pitures are posted on the Web many more of you will want to get in on this deal also.

Orders need to be placed quickly-- before the price increases.
(The price could change by the end of the week)

Go to this link to order

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=19434

Enjoy the pics

The picture of the backside of the part shows you that this is TrueMold carbon fiber and not a Wet-Layup over fiberglass ..

If it was a Wet-Layup you would see chopped fiberglass, smooth fiberglass, or just plastic

I have seen a couple of RX-8 covers out there that are the original plastic piece covered in Carbon fiber !!! YUCK !!!

Unlike some others sold on market, this IPT product is TrueMold carbon fiber. It contains thermoset resin so it will hold up to heat and will not yellow.

THERE IS NO CLEARCOAT ON THIS PART

Also : Guys Please Remember this part is a Replacement piece

It DOES NOT COVER YOUE ORIGIANL COVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take off the old and replace with the new !!!!!

Parker just PM'd me and told me today was the last day of the pre-buy offer.
I bought one through his site and PM'd him to find out which shipper he used.
The vendors I've bought from in this forum are FAST.
Trussville and Rotary Extreme had my parts to me so quick I didn't have time to wonder were they were-and I'd expect the same will happen again.
Pics after install,a lot's been done to my 8 in the past week, she comes back from the dealership tomorrow....

Footnote:
I also called and left a message, noting this thread and my nic,
requesting deliv date and shipping carrier....

I have an order placed 3/21, I've emailed and called IPT asking for status and ship date.

No response whatsoever. I don't call that good customer service. I'm not liking this purchase.

I have had great experiences with vendors here so far,but if there was ever to be a problem, well, that's why I use a credit card,if I don't get what I paid for,I don't get charged, and the vendor doesn't get paid, either.
"Consumer self-protection" should ALWAYS be the caveat,
and using a cc essentially ensures you're protected--that's why I use one,myself.
Anyhow,I thought Parker communicated quickly enough through PM,but I left a message yesterday with the same questions as yours,Spin9,as well.......with no call-back as of yet.
I hope (and expect) that his next post will be "they've all shipped" and then we'll all be well-informed and happy, and soon flooding the forum w cool new pics.

that's what I've been trying to tell everyone. I work for Visa and know that major CC companies have chargeback rights just in case you don't get your merchandise or it comes not as described. You can get your $$ back, no liability. If you guys use something like Pay Pal and a merchant stiffs you, then you are hosed.

As far as Parker and IPT are concerned, after numerous PMs, calls, and e-mails IMHO I believe that he is legit and will send out the orders soon. I am thinking that he is just swamped with all the demand for his product. my $.02
