installing a moonroof

just wondering has anyone bought the base model and installed an aftermarket moonroof? is it a good idea? how much did it cost and are there troubles as with leaking?? thx

It would be difficult, as the roof is not flat, it curves inwards. The OEM moonroof actually matches the curves.

Mazda Australia don't offer the roof at all on any of the 8s.
I've consulted some aftermarket installers here in Australia who strongly advise against it unless you're able to obtain the OEM unit from Mazda Japan.
