I found my first ding...

Well I've come to an inevitable feature of a new car. The dreaded first ding. This has ruined my day...It's probably just a little smaller then the size of a dime overall. Man I want to cry...I'm pissed, I'm taking it into the shop ASAP to get it fixed It's on my left rear door..almost right in the middle..

it's not inevitable.

I might regret saying this - but I've gone 4 years without a single ding or dent. I do have a few small rock chips though. It matters what stores you frequent, and where you park.

I'm always that person that parks really far away...my girlfriend hates me for it. I try to never drive behind trucks with s--t flying out of it. I keep it on paved roads, and I store it under my car port. Depressed...

Have you checked to see if pop-a-dent type service can fix it?

a PDR service shop should easily take care of that.

heh. Someone who doesn't own a RX-8 might be pretending to own one with a ding.

easy el tigre, just wanted to see pics. I have a small ding on the drivers side right below the A pillar. I'm keeping it because it's there to ward off other dings. I just know if i get it fixed a bigger one will show up somewhere else.

lmao, people pretend to own an RX8?? Why bother with this low level of a car? Find the Ferrari forums and do it! I'll get pictures to you tomorrow during the day. It's extremely small, but I still know it's there. If it was in a more less noticeable place I would keep it

Listen it's pretty hard to pretend to have an RX8, when you go to all of the drives...It's not like I can glue an RX8 emblem to my right butt cheek and sprint with them

Also, what scares me the most about the ding, is that it is RIGHT on the crease of the middle of the door. That corner...don't know the official name

Don't get too strung up about it. No matter how much you try, it will still happen to all cars....

I know...I'm just a FREAK about stuff like this. Sorry I couldn't get any pictures today. I had a drive with my local 8's and Mazdas. We had a blast, but kept getting stuck behind people on the mountain roads. I'll post them tomorrow

how do we know that's your car? You could have gone up to any black rx8, dented it, then took a photo of it!
