Red face How much would this paint job cost

Hi,

I want to turn my rx-8 into a replica of Neela's in Tokyo Drift (FF) but with different colors as I'm not a huge fan of the blue..

I was looking for an idea of how much a paint job like that would cost

Any ideas are welcome

You would be better off with a vinyl car wrap. That way, when you tire of the look (and you know you will), you can peel it off.

Thanks for moving this by the way, I'm new and had no idea where to put this haha.

Vinyl might be a good idea! Is it expensive though? I kind of want something original that will make people go 'wow' :p.

People will say "wow", but not necessarily in a good way...

Call your local shops to get an idea how much it will cost. Won't be cheap

i think you want a faded gradient between colors...that looks like 3 solid stripes-will make it look cheap imo.

I think this whole car makes me want to vomit. The kit is gross and the paint sucks. If you really want to do this, do as others have suggested and go vinyl, its 1/4 the cost of a good paint job and can be easily removed.

Yea try the wrap first. You can get a good feel of how it will be and it will look a lot like a paint job if done properly.. and for god sake the best part is you can peel it off when you get tired of it.. peel it off.....did you hear what i am typing?!?!?!?..... THANK THE SWEET LAWD IN HEAVEN!!! YOU CAN PEEEL IT OFF!!!!

Why copy a Fast and a Furious car? Be different and get your own style...just my .02 cents. Anyway, if you like it, then it's all good.

I'm with Silverstreak on this. If you really want a replica of that, that paint work is going to be $8000ish. There is a lot going on with it, and fades are difficult to lay down proper. There is a lot of pinstripping on that car as well.

edit: Also the Failside body kit is a another couple grand thrown in as well.
