Question How do you safely remove emblems

With a black car all road debris is going to seriously eat away at the front of my car so I am going to get the front bra mask. But I hate how the emblem makes it stick up on the hood. So I wanted a consensus as to what is the best way to remove the front Mazda emblem from the hood without damaging the paint? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From what I have heard, the front flying M Mazda badge has two holes beneath it. When you get the clamps off of these two posts that are sticking through these holes, you will have to heat it up to loosen the glues that hold it tight. However, just leave it out in the sun and it should get hot enough to lossen it. Afterwards, you will need to use something to remove the glue.

An alternative would be to have the clear bra applied, then have them remove the clear material around the badge. This way the badge would not make the clear bra stick up on the hood.

I think this is how most installers do it.

Dump boiling hot water on it, then "saw" fishing line behind it. It will slice right through the glue and then the emblem will come off.

Not if the emblem has posts, it won't. Only the RX-8 emblem is glued on, all the others have posts.

i just took mine off yesterday...the mazda emblem has 2 holes and the "mazda" has 3 holes. the rx-8 has none though. it looks tight but the front one i rooked it on...i scratched the paint. The only way to get it to be completely professional is to get the holes sealed and then you have to repaint the entire front bumper and trunk. You with be burning a hole in your pocket. The holes look bad...but they are tiny to notice. I think it looks better with holes rather than with the emblems.
