How Do I open My headlights!!

I wanna open my headlights, but I was told that you cant just open them with the method of sticking them into the oven. What is the way to open them up? Also I want to change my foglight bulbs, but my oil coolers are in the way. What do I have to do?

Headlights can be baked, it's the taillights that can't. I don't know at what temp or for how long off the top of my head, but there are some threads about halos or angel eyes that give that info.

overnight works fine..make sure not to seal them too quick though, the paint fumes create a mist on the inside of the lens, so you have to wetsand and refinish the plastic...trust me i had to do it when i left the paint for 4 hours to dry then sealed them like an idiot

dont have any pics, but on one set I used a knife edge to pry the clear shell off once I broke through teh lense, and on the other set I took a dremel and cut away the black plastic. In the end I had one good set of just the lense caps and one good set of the plastic housings, I still havent epoxied them together yet but will be painting them just like the headlights

Thanks Ngo.....

the taillights are gonna be low profile too,,,,, for some reason I never felt the same about the strakes in the tailights as I did in the headlights, so Im cutting them out and filling the holes. After that painting all silver components the same black that I used in the headlights....

Ok so I have some sort of crap build up on the inside of my headlights. I am not running therisk of baking them just to clean them.

I was wondering could I make some sort of tool to clean the inside through the holes where the bulbs were. If so could i just use some windex in there or some sort of non streak stuff??
