I looked at a bunch of different pics but couldn't really tell.

Here's mine (dirty as hell, but hopefully good enough):

Ok. Thanks.

The reason I am asking is because I got in a little accident last night and cracked the bumper and grille.

Now I have to figure out what the repairs will run vs my $500 deductible.

There are multiple ways to figuring out what you have.

The easiest is this: Did you spend $1500 for a mazdaspeed front bumper? If yes, then you have one.

I've had repairs done twice before with this setup, and both times the repair place and dealership mis-guessed the estimate on the front spoiler to be only ~$300 (aero package lip) -- about $1200 in total. Overall costs will approach $1700, if my memory serves me correctly.

You should look into getting your eyes checked. I have done nothing to my tail lights.

yikes, just for bumper damage or more?

aftermarket bumper territory, imo.

Here is a picture of the damage:

I'm wondering if this can be repaired for < $500 or if it's enough that I need to file and insurance claim. I would only do that if they're going to give me a new OEM bumper.

^New Grill + Paint- do it yourself. Im estimating $500 or less @ a body shop. Def <500 if you do yourself. Someone on here was selling thier OEM bumper for like $150 shipped + add paint ($200) + DIY = $350 fix

The thing was clean as can be until a few days ago when Atlanta got hit with a snow storm. They salted the roads and I had to drive downtown and back. Not to worry, it's getting washed soon enough.

Do you guys think it would be cheaper to buy a new bumper and have it painted versus a little bondo on the crack on the existing bumper and having it refinished and repainted?

The grille seems to be relatively cheap ($75 OEM) and easy to replace.
