Hole in my 8!

Hey guys, I want to take off all teh decals on my 8. I noticed that when I was taking off the Mazda decal on the back there were two holes in the body after i removed it. What can i do to cover these holes up?

Yep - now you get to go have some body work done, or put the badge back on. The flying M has 2 holes, the 'MAZDA' logo has 3 holes. There are no holes behind the RX8 graphic.

Good luck.

thanks guys!! the whole reason behind me taking off the emblems is because a lot of people ask me what kind of car I drive - hence I wanted to take off all symbols so the average joe wouldn't know what it was I drove.

fill it with same color play doh. mix it with some pearl first (glitter will do). smooth it out and add some clear coat.

or take it to a bodyshop...they have better play doh.

^ LOL. now THAT id demand pics of!!!

reminds me of college, when we'd move out of the dorms, they would check to see if there was any damage before giving you your security deposit back. we found the simplest way to fill all those holes from our ever-present artwork (translation = cheap posters) was to use toothpaste! sad, but tru!

I poped the bages off, then I put some duct tap on the inside of the trunk lid to cover the holes, after that I fill it in with bondo and smooth it out, thats where Im at now, so I dont have any water getting in, the car is sitting at the dealer getting a CEL fixed (misfire rotor #2) when i get it back I will paint the bondo and then clear the whole lid.

I did it on my miata, and you could tell that I filled in the holes but you had to be 10 inches or closer to notice, so I was more than happy with it, Ill post pics when Im done.

Aww, shucks. Just get some duct tape that matches the color of your car. No more hole.
