How can I tell if my headlights are Regular Halogen Headlights or if they are HID Headlights?

I bought my car used so I am not sure which one they are...

 

from your pics it appears you have hid's.

park you car towards a building without your high beams on and see if you have a cut offline. if you do have a line where no light shines above and very bright light below you have hids.

ps im quite bored and most people including me wouldn't normally answer such questions.

 

Also if your main headlight have a glass bowl look to them then there hid's. +1 on the cut off line tho easiest way to tell.

 

"Glass bowl"? You mean projectors? The halogen headlights also comes with projectors. The halogen headlights also have a cutoff even though it is not as sharp and the light isn't as evenly spread.

What package is your RX8? From the looks of your pictures, it's a GT. I'm pretty sure you have HID's.

 

If you have fog lights and a DSC button you have HID's. Also they get brighter after you first turn them on.
Just looked at your pics. You have HID's.

 

Yeah that is what I thought because when I turn my Headlights on they get brighter after a second.
