Help with Seibon TS CF Hood

I ordered the seibon TS hood from assaultech, rx8club's very own vendor. The stay hole for the support rod to keep the hood up is a lot smaller than my stock hood. Only way to make the support rod fit and keep my hood up is to dremel it and make it bigger. Are other seibon owners having the same problem?

Also when i installed it the front the hood sinks down a lot when i close it and it doesn't line/flush with my bumper. Tried adding extra washers but it did nothing. Looks fugly. Did assaultech give a defective hood or is this expected of most aftermarket hoods cuz fitment sucks.

i think posting photos would help.

as for not lining up flush with the bumper, you can turn the rubber grommets [towards the front of the car, just behind the air divider] until it does.

but, most CF parts usually dont fit 100% like OEM parts.

yeah mine is that way on my KS. i just put the rod in part way and it stays just fine(air shocks dont hold the hood up in the cold). as for the low front mine also did that. i had to make shims out of plate (i chose stainless) think it was just shy of 3/8". but now i willtry the grommets like twiztog stated. the only plus is seibon gives 100% fitment garentee
