TX Headlight Question

Hey guys I have an 04 Rx8 with halogen Capsules..
the headlights in right now are 50W i think and i just ordered super white 100 W bulbs.. im gunna get HID later but for now I just dont want the stock look..
my question is.. Is 100W too much? will it blow a fuse or will it be fine? and will it heat up to where its harmful to the headlight.. Just curious.

100 watts would probably burn your headlight housings or harnesses. A lot of "rice lights" will up the wattage to compensate for the blue coating which lowers light output. I would definetly keep them at the stock wattage &/or go for an HID conversion.

higher wattage bulbs will blow out faster.
And don't bother trying those expensive Sylvania bulbs you find at autozones, they don't last as long as those cheap colored bulbs that are sold on ebay.
