haha yeah idk why it looks so orange. ill take another pic of it when i paint my wheels black i bet that will tie it in a little better.

Huh, mine doesn't have them. I think it looks ok, it'll be better when you get your rims done, but I would get your rims powder coated for a stronger finish to be on the safe side. I like the clear vinyl idea so after I get my car professionally detailed I think I will get from the curve in the door down to the bottom done, winter up here is brutal.

Just remember, it's what you like and that's the only thing that matters.

I always wondered what that thing was. Well might as well do something with it. Looks interesting, stoked to see a full pic of the car.

Not feeling it man. You're drawing emphasis to an area that's just random. It just distracts from the beauty of the rear fender flare.

Looks pretty good. Unique, different! Something that is just you and you like it, so that's what matters.

Holy thread-resurrection batman.

Anyway, this is just clear vinyl that was cut to protect this particular area.

Go to your local car shop and get a roll of vinyl, take it double and cut the desired shape with a cutting knife and a ruler.

Or buy it on amazon.
Anyway less than 15 bucks definitely.
You can even chose the color you want, e.g. black if you like the OPs mod.

I don't think Mazda sells any pre-cut solutions, and, even if, they will probably cost 10 times their worth.

It's more than simple vinyl. It is a thick film, like an xpel headlight film or 3M film.

its kinda porche-y like a 930.... seems like this would have been a perfect candidate for the plasti-dip test.

Just in case you guys are wondering those are called clear guards or stone guards. You would be much better off doing it while colored Vynl and maybe going Larger like the Porsche if you really want a look like this
